We are pleased to announce the availability of the GLS1000 / GLS1500 Tilt Mount. Purchasers of new laser scanners from us now get the tilt mount included with the package.

The new GLS-1500 is a pulse based laser scanner designed to perform in even the most difficult site conditions. With a scan-range up to 330 m the GLS-1500 is a versatile tool that lets you apply laser scanning in many different and difficult work environments.

With a 35º upper window most measurement situations are covered, at 10m range the achievable vertical height is 7m, however in some situations, where it is not possible to get sufficient stand-off from your object, it is necessary to tilt the scanner.

The tilt mount allows you survey in all locations. Overhead, down-slope, pick your orientation and Get Laser Scanning! One important point to note is that so-called Dome Scanners that offer full overhead scanning do so at the cost of reduced accuracy overhead. The tilt mount offers a solution to achieving the best possible quality overhead, or alternatively full overhead coverage can be achieved via two occupations (which is often very necessary in order to capture detail not visible from one setup).

The mount uses 3 fixing points built into the GLS, which balance the instrument so that it is stable on the tripod, setup is an easy one man operation.

Registration of data is simple using ScanMaster to reference object or target tie-points, and coming soon, the facility for cloud to cloud registration within Scanmaster.
